Ventilation / Air Protection
NBC Air Filter Systems
A critical protection against man-made disasters is protecting the air you breath. NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) air filtration systems keep a positive level of air pressure inside a safe room of clean filtered air. Using a series of different filters, these filtration systems remove dangerous agents from the air such as:
- Harmful chemicals
- Biological hazards
- Radioactive particles
NBC filter systems guard against a wide array of manmade and natural disasters that can produce toxic smoke, particles, and bacteria.
Water and Waste Disposal
Sanitation can be critical in emergencies due to contamination or infrastructure shutdown (such as electrical grid failure). Having potable water storage and alternate waste disposal systems is essential to managing any extended shelter-in-place scenario. These systems help you:
- Filter and store clean water for drinking and cooking
- Perform sanitation duties such as showering and cleaning
- Control and dispose of sanitary waste
Having access to clean water is one of the most trivial things in modern civilization. It’s also one of the most challenging tasks when disasters occur if you’re not prepared ahead of time.
In both man-made and natural disasters, electrical grid failure, even for a few days can have a big impact on survivability. It affects so many other systems, so backup electrical power is very important and can range from very simple to very large and robust systems.
Backup electricity can be generated and stored using a variety of options:
- Diesel generators
- Solar and wind power
- Battery backups
Having a good backup system can provide, heat, light, hot water, communications and a host of essential services during periods of extended power loss. To the extent we rely on electricity, it can be critical to keeping your business running, and keeping your home safe and secure.
